About SmartURL
Smarturl.org is yet another URL-shortening service, even though smarturl.org is a fairly long domain. However, it's useful when you want to shorten down longer and more complicated URLs containing a lot of arguments and so forth. The idea is very simple, enter a long and annoying URL and get a shorter one back. Once you visit the shorter URL later on, it will redirect you to the proper URL.
By using this service, the traffic will be made through our servers, which allow us to collect useful information about the link, giving you statistics on who's linking to your site, how many users have visited the URL, what countries the users come from and so on. Currently, we use the IP address of the user to keep track of which URLs that belongs to which user. This way, users can easily create new URLs or visit my URLs to see information of the added URLs, all without any registration.
